Zimbablog thanks you for a great first week!
When we pressed that button to launch Zimbablog on Monday last week, we had no idea how far the ripples from that mouse click would go. In just seven days Zimbablog received one thousand five hundred page views from twenty-two countries!
And all this with a marketing budget of zero (will remain so for at least the first month).
Thank you!
Canada, The Czech Republic, Sudan, Uganda, Italy, France, Mozambique, Switerland, Belgium, China, Nigeria, and Norway were among the surprise countries that had visitors come our way. Expected countries that did feature on the list are Zimbabwe (off course!), South Africa, United Kingdom and The United States of America.
Not only that, in those seven days we had at least one article from Zimbablog appear in one of Zimbabwe’s major weeklies, The Sunday Mail, which was good for promoting the site as they gave the blog address in the article.
The feedback has been very encouraging. We have already received some great suggestions of features we can add to improve the site. You can look out for some of these in the near future.
Thank you to everyone who has visited the site, posted articles, comments, made suggestions or simply emailed to wish us well on this new road. Here’s to a long collaborative journey of giving Zimbabweans a very loud global voice.
