Towards maximum exposure for your article on Zimbablog

When you make a post on Zimbablog, we know you want as many people as possible to read it. The challenge is that because the site has become so busy, when you post your article it has a few hours at most at the top of the homepage- and within a day it’s no longer on the home page. Not good for article visibility, right?

Any related articles will now appear at the bottom of each post. A new surprise random article link has also been added.

True.

To help give maximum visibility to your posts we have added a “Related Articles” feature which lists all the articles that are related to the current post just above the tags and comments for that post.

We also have a little surprise for you. Beneath the related posts link and also on posts that have no related links is a “Random Post” feature. When a site visitor clicks on this they are taken to a totally random post on Zimbablog. It’s a great way to discover articles you would not ordinarily click on.

Just in case you hadn’t noticed on the far right of EVERY page on Zimbablog, since its launch, is a “Featured Posts” block. This picks up posts from the database and each post has an equal chance of featuring.

Your suggestions and comments, as always, are very welcome.

Great tips thanks. Maybe its about time we have a better RSS feed system that selectively feeds you with certain articles that belong to a certain category or author. Say feeding posts from How Zimbabwe Can Be Better category or Chief K Biriwasha’s articles only, for I may not have the time to read the many excellent articles posted on Zimbablog. Its just an afterthought!
