Power FM DJs- Hazvinei Sakarombe

Hi again friends!!

She comes from Manicaland, she plays mostly English songs and she represents freedom of speech at its best. She is also mostly concerned with feminist issues and tries to give warnings, dos and don’ts in relationships. Who is this amazing DJ?

DJ Hazvi (Hazvinei Sakarombe) is so proud of her Manicaland dialect. Despite my love for the dialect (need to tell you, I stayed in Mutare for three years) Hazvi’s loyalty if I may call it that makes me think “Chimanyika ndizvo”

Hazvinei is a great DJ in terms of self composition. She also brings in sensitive issues with a moral teaching. Mostly after Hazvi gets off air, I am forced to look back into my life and derive a moral lesson. To be precise, I’ve always had problems dealing with relationships and Hazvi one day helped me empower myself and move on with life.

As much as I enjoy her shows, I have a problem with Hazvi’s voice sometimes. I don’t know what it is exactly but i think she at times picks up the wrong pitch at the wrong time. I don’t know what others think but that is my opinion. Pardon me if that is her natural voice but if she makes that up then she better turn back to what mother nature gave her.

I personally don’t understand what’s in it with Power FM DJs (excluding baba Pepe ofcourse). It seems something just motivates them to like their job. In terms of delivering great staff, Power FM is a cut above the rest. Keep it up guys!! We need more of this.

One thing that I’ve realised is that unlike other stations known to be loyal to certain types of music like slow, soft, sungura, e.t.c, Power FM delivers a wide variety of music genres. It is obvious that it attracts attention from a wide range of age groups and characters. Of course some staions try to vary but you know how it is like if one is biased. Talk of museve, R n B, Uraban grooves, old school, jazz, and anything you can think of, my favourite station has it all on a silver platter.

Back to Samanyika. Great stuff girl. Keep improving your capabilities of showing what Power FM is made of.
