Who are you?
Magnanimity is the quality of the person who knows himself or herself to be worthy of great honors. The person who overestimates self-worth is conceited, and the person who underestimates self-worth is pusillanimous. – Aristotle
The knowledge of oneself is the foundation of breakthrough and success. I believe that the lack of this knowledge is often the source of the greatest failure: success in the wrong assignment. It is therefore imperative that one diligently introspects and above all, finds out from the creator himself who one has been made to be. There is no manufacturer who comes up with a product without first contemplating what it will be used for. Likewise, there is no single person in existence who is just here for no specific reason. “Thine eyes did see mine unformed substance; And in thy book they were all written, Even the days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was none of them.” – Psalm 139:16
The new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17) has been empowered with great ability. His duty is to discover and put to use that power that can only be realized in the knowledge of Christ (or the body of Christ). This is what Paul meant when he said, “…work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;” – Philippians 2:12b. The word translated “work out” is “katergazomai” which means to work fully, that is, accomplish; by implication to finish, fashion: - cause, do (deed), perform. That means he is instructing us to align ourselves to who we are in the spirit. We discover who we are by renewing our minds with the word and shifting our paradigm to a Godly one.
In the book of Psalm 82:5-7, the psalmist wrote, “They know not, neither do they understand; They walk to and fro in darkness: All the foundations of the earth are shaken. I said, Ye are gods, And all of you sons of the Most High. Nevertheless ye shall die like men, And fall like one of the princes.” I realize that most people cringe when they are told “Ye are gods.” It is scripture! It is not hard to understand that we are gods. Remember in the book of Genesis the first chapter how God made man in his own image? He made us that we might have dominion here on earth, in other words to be the gods of this earth. After the fall of man, the devil took over man’s place and became the god of this world. Through Christ we once again take our place as gods in the earth.
“And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” – Revelation 5:10. If God sees you as a king and a priest, why would you rather live as a pauper struggling to make ends meet? Kings make decrees. They declare things and they are done. They are a royal people and behave as such. They know who they are! Priests communicate with God. They intercede for the people in their sphere of influence. They have the confidence that God hears them because of their ordained designation. You are a king and a priest. “But you* [are] a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people [for God's own] possession, in order that you* shall proclaim the excellencies of the One having called you* out of darkness into His marvelous light, [Exod 9:16; Isaiah 43:20]” – 1 Peter 2:9.
It might seem hard to suddenly begin to operate in this capacity. God has made everything available for us that we may not have difficulty at all. In the book of Matthew the 28th chapter in verses 18-20 he wrote, “And Jesus came to them and spake unto them, saying, All authority hath been given unto me in heaven and on earth. Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” The word “therefore” means “(adverbially) certainly, or (conjugationally) accordingly: - and (so, truly), but, now (then), so (likewise then), then, verily, wherefore – Strong’s Hebrew and Greek Dictionaries. So Jesus was saying that we are empowered to do these things on the basis of the authority that He has, which is all authority in heaven and on earth.
Psalm 37:4 says, “Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” The desires that you have in your heart are the desires that God has given you to desire. That is your domain, the area for which you were created. Go therefore into that domain with the full knowledge that you are a king and a god coming from a royal priesthood, a holy nation and a chosen race equipped with all authority in heaven and earth. Affirm yourself constantly that you may always know who you are. When you feel overwhelmed, fearful, inadequate, ill qualified, confused, low, insecure, insignificant or too small, speak to yourself to remind yourself who you are.
Affirmation: I know who I am. I am a god and a king. I belong to a royal priesthood a holy nation and a chosen race equipped with all authority in heaven and earth

God HAS made everything available for us- but I think we are not available to God. I know that I struggle with my availability on many occassions. It’s like there is so much in the way, so many things to be taken care of, so many things that are not clear cut, that are fuzzy and difficult to put into the context of being a righteous person.
One way I find useful in dealing with so much clutter out there is to acknowledge God even in those things. Proverbs 3:6 says, “In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he will direct thy paths.” Another useful way is in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, ” Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus to you-ward.” God bless you God Seeker…
