A gram of madness in Harare from Spain

An award-winning Spanish dance company will perform in a one-off show at Reps Theatre on Sunday 19 October, presenting their own work and also partnering with National Ballet and Dance Trust of Zimbabwe dancers in several pieces.
The Fernando Hurtado Dance Company is being brought to Zimbabwe by the Spanish Embassy and the group will undertake one show, which will take place at 5 p.m. on Sunday October 19. Entry to the show will be FREE and lovers of dance are being encouraged to see the performance by the acclaimed Spanish company.
The group has been functioning as a professional dance company since 2000, since when it has won a number of awards in leading competitions in Spain and has toured in the Americas, the United Kingdom and Africa. The show being brought to Harare has the intriguing title A Gram of Madness and is described as “containing all the elements of first-rate modern dance.”
There will be no advance booking for the show, but doors will open at 4 p.m. and all members of the public are invited to attend. This is a unique opportunity to enjoy the work of a popular and award-winning international dance company and to see them in selected pieces with dancers from within Zimbabwe.
