my humble friend

my humble friend

the dust that gathers at your feet

is sweet perfume to my nostrils

its an essence of virtue and goodness

which is cleansing and provides

a treasure of excellence

steeping you in the deep waters

of God-consciousness

leading you up on the steps of

eternity, out of the transient clutches of being

abandon not humbleness, my friend

for it is the secret doctrine

lo, confess, you’ve a special gift my friend

unpraised by men yet seen by the gods - humbleness

is the mother of all rivers

it is the sweet nectar upon

whose wings you can fly across

the rubicon into the land of

everlasting light
