Tears telling a tale of her toil
She proclaimed that I had ruined us and the bliss we once shared,
That I had made her heart beat with each word I said,
And how my deceit and lies had helped split our ties,
Reinforcing the fact that I’m just another guy,
With her bags packed she said goodbye,
And disappeared into the dead of night,
To a life better than the one she thought she liked,
Letting go of memories that made her blood boil,
Tears running down her cheeks, telling the tale of her toil…
