The Rasta man said…

I could never do such a wicked thing me lord,

Me creeping with a married lass me lord,

I should slay this man for defamation

How dare he tarnish this Rasta’s reputation?

I’m a man fortified with a will of steel me lord,

I could never do an absurd thing me lord,

Because of my belief in Selassie,

I stand tall with my hand on my I ‘n’ I,

This man stands there abhorring Rastafari,

Hoping our culture ruins and dies,

He strives to hurt Rasta levity,

Yet all we ever wanted was to live a life so free…
