Bury yourself in a good book

Over the years there have been concerns about the waning interests of Zimbabweans in their reading culture and it is believed that people mostly read for exams but other than that, they do not find it worthwhile to bury themselves in a good book. Although people are turning their back on reading, knowledge which is derived from reading books is power.

It is important for one to be aspired to write, and to read in order to gain knowledge because knowledge does foster power in people for use in their own lives, in their communities, and in their society and it teaches people skills that will motivate them to take steps to improve their own lives and to be empowered.

People add to their knowledge through reading inspirational books which are inspired by great motivational authors. In his book, “Its Time To Unleash Your Greatness”, Milton Kamwendo, puts it this way: ‘You can immerse yourself in a good book. Find books that inspire you. Collect books in the area of your profession and start building a library of resources that you use to keep yourself fired up and motivated. ” We must fight the fading reading culture in our culture and Milton Kamwendo, an avid reader himself and an author, believes that one of the most important possessions that you will ever have are your books and your ability to read.

In order to be motivated and to add to your own knowledge I urge you to read a good book which you can purchase at any of the Innov8 Bookshops, where there are books galore on various topics including leadership, financial matters, sales and management etc which are written by renowned authors such as Robert Kiyosaki, George Clarson, Steven Covey and many more great authors.

Thanks, Memory, for this call. It’s a general concern of most writers that there seems to be more writing of books than there are readers, and I think that as we promote the growth of Zimbabwean writing, we should also nurture lasting reading habits. Good article.

So if Innov8 a publishing house as well?
