A flash of bliss

the shadows will clatter to the ground

at the flash of bliss

that slowly gathers light in the horizon

and sprawls clouds of pregnant desire

across the canvass of being

till watery seeds: cool, smooth, refreshing

drip toward my scorched bones

piercing the caked ground

with a pinpoint sharpness

awakening a rush within me

making me seek to rise again

in the soft palm of His hands
