Sugar Daddy!!
Daddy Time with Rebecca
Of late I have been spending a lot of time working on a website www.eatout.co.zw and this led me to lose out on quality time with my three children Jared, Rebecca and Cassandra. On Monday I decided to spend a little quality time alone with my daughter Rebecca - I fetched her from school - something her mom usually does. We then went for lunch - or more accurately I went to have lunch, Rebecca just wanted to have ice-cream and chocolate sauce. To make it a little sweeter she wanted to sprinkle sugar - now I usually wouldn’t agree and I can see you cringing at the thought. She made those angel eyes and of course I said Yes!
This was all happening at Theo’s Coffee Shop - which I know as 167 on Enterprise Road. Rebecca then decided that she wanted to put her feet in the swimming pool and she said “Oh! please Daddy!”. The shoes and socks came off and there sat a thirty something business man in the middle of the working day barefoot in a public place with his daughter.
No matter what anyone says it was absolutely worth it.

The many sins of Jesus
Filed under: Inspire & motivate, Religion, Spirituality for such a time
‘Guilty as Sin’? That was Jesus. So guilty in fact that the all merciful God couldn’t stand the sight of him – and had to turn away.
Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin or [insert favorite dictator here] – All practically saints compared to Jesus. They had to be, if God’s plan was going to work. Jesus wasn’t going to succeed by taking on just the sin of the guy who steals stationery from the office. He came for the worst we had to offer.
The Satanic, murderous, child molesting, serial rapist…
That’s who he came for…and that’s what he had to become. But he didn’t come just so that you would forgiven of your sins. (That would’ve been amazing enough – but) God’s plan was even better.
See the real truth is that Jesus didn’t just take your punishment, he took your guilt – he became your sin - and that makes all the difference.
If he’s taken only your punishment, you’d still be guilty…with someone else having paid the consequences. But the truth is, thanks to Jesus,
You’re NOT guilty. You’ve done NOTHING wrong!
Your sense of guilt and self-condemnation are completely misplaced and misguided - but ONLY if you’re born again FOR SURE. Only if you’re really IN Christ. Don’t take my word for it - that’s what the Boss says…

Swine flu precautions
I received this by email and thought it would be useful:
As swine flu spreads, it is important to be able to recognise its symptoms and know what to do if you think that you or your family might have it.
One thing you can do right now is to make sure you have a thermometer to take your child’s temperature. If they have a temperature of 38° C or above and they have any two of the following symptoms, then you should call your GP straight away. The symptoms are:
- tiredness
- headache
- runny nose and sneezing
- sore throat
- shortness of breath
- loss of appetite
- vomiting and diarrhoea
- aching muscles, limb and joint pain
If your child is less than one year old and you think they might have swine flu, call your GP immediately.
Also make sure that your child:
- uses soap and water when washing their hands
- covers their mouth when coughing or sneezing (with a tissue, not with their hands)
- throws dirty tissues away quickly into bins.
Following these simple precautions will help slow the spread of the virus.
With Joy I don’t cry
God’s love is wide like sea,
Once was blind but now i see.
With joy i kissed the blue sky,
But with joy never did i cry.
Whether i own all silver and gold,
Whether i meet my dead friend of old,
Might i become a King under the sun
My tears of joy don’t sip for fun.
But when my heart is sturbed with words
Tears of anger flock out like birds.
Any words that are inflictious and sarcastic,
Leave my eyes in sorrowfull and pathetic.
Whether i’m promised wings to fly,
Ecstacy and bliss may lift me high
But as long i’m in this earth of sorrows
My tears of joy will never kiss my brows.
Its because food never healed hunger.
All joy is vanity beyond stood anger.
When my joy will forever endure
Tears down my cheek i will ensure
I am looking for Memory Gomwe
I am looking for a friend of mine from the University of Zimbabwe, when I attended back in 1999 as an exchange student from the United States. Her name was Memory Gomwe (if I recall correctly she was engaged at the time, so her current surname may be different).
I believe that her father was a schoolteacher in Chegutu and I am certain that she was a Shumba (from what she told me about Shona culture). I understand if there is insufficient information to find her, but I am trying as many resources as possible to track her down. I humbly ask that, should you have any information on her or her family, you pass it along. I would be in your greatest debt. Thank you for your consideration.
