Makosi Musambasi- turned 28 on Tuesday (23 September 2008).

BIG Brother 5 star Makosi Musambasi celebrated her 28th birthday on Tuesday. She talks to New Zimbabwe.com editor Mduduzi Mathuthu about her celebrity lifestyle, an impending “boob job” and her wacky plan to be Michael Jackson for a day:

How does it feel being 28?

I must say I don’t feel any different. I don’t feel any older. I certainly feel a bit younger than I was last year (chuckles). I am also a bit more mature, a bit wiser, more confident in myself and body; and a bit wealthier. I realise that the older you get, the more confident you are. And I have learnt that if you do things for money, you don’t make money, you have to be passionate about something and the benefits flow from there.

What sort of presents did you get for your birthday?

I got a new Blackberry Bold, and quite a few phones from friends who call me and I don’t answer. I get their message! I got a few handbags, clothes, a lot of flowers and shopping vouchers. A special man bought me an Audi Q7. Read more

Happy birthday Tuku!

I can’t remember what year it was. I was at a Tuku concert in the wee hours of the morning.

That infectious Tuku beat was in the air. All around me people were dancing and singing along. The song being performed was all time favourite “Tozeza Baba”.

A group of happy acloholically tipsy women was very enthusiastically chanting their own words to the song.

One of them, a big woman who must have been at least 100kg, suddenly saw someone- a man- she knew, just come into the venue.

She let out an ear piercing scream of joy and bounded across the room to him. He too seemed happy to see her but was not at all prepared for what was about to happen. Read more
