Sam Mtukudzi (1988-2010)

Sam Mtukudzi is no more. The young music star passed away in the early hours of this morning on his way home in Norton from Harare.

He and his sound engineer Owen Chimhare both died on the spot when their car veered off the road along Bulawayo Road, in the Kuwadzana Extension area.

Breath and Smile

October 27, 2009 · Posted in Poetry · Comment

When we die we turn to dust,

Neither soul nor breath will last.

These smiles we see and those i saw

They will be gone together with this soul,

Beneath the dust they will halt…..

So, smile before your breath is out.

You see me around please run,

Cos i cut throats i kill for fun.

I take out life with much deft

I am an expert in life theft.

I leave beauty bodies in rigid stiff,

I am related to moaning and grief

I am an  omega I’m always the last,

I decay the flesh and tun it to dust.

Widow

my brother’s  widow

She learnt again to love

Before in his grave

His body had learnt corruption.

Still she swore he was he was her best love

And on his grave wept herself stiff

On her second wedding’s eve.
