Never make these mistakes!!!
Typing mistakes can be serious. have a chuckle!
1. A husband, while on a business trip to a hill station sent a telegraph to his wife “I wish you were here”. The message received by his wife was,
“I wish you were her.”
2. A man wanted to celebrate his wife’s birthday by throwing a party. So he ordered a birthday cake. The salesman asked him what message he wanted put on the cake. He thought for a moment and said, “put getting older but you are getting better”. The salesman asked, “How do you want me to put it?” The man said, well…put “You are getting older” at the top and “but you are getting better” at the bottom. When the cake was unvailed at the Party all the guests were aghast at the message on the cake. It read: “You are getting older at the top, But you are getting better at the bottom”.
86 Mothers in Law?!
A news headline in mainstream media recently, reported of a guy who has 86 wives in Nigeria and was being threatened with banishment unless he divorced 82 of them. Now thats a fascinating story. 86 is a big number (except maybe in Zimdollar terms). Dare I imagine the life these almost-100 people live. Reading around on the same subject, I came across Wayne’s comment: “Man, that’s 86 Mothers-in-law!”. How to say goodbye like a Zimbabwean
I was at the airport (Harare International) again on Sunday, seeing someone off. The place was packed as is usual when there is an Air Zimbabwe flight to London. Unlike other airports around the world, the Harare terminal is never full of travellers per se. When it does fill up it’s with relatives who have come to say good bye to their loved ones.
Whole families of up to twenty people come to see one person off. Some are grand mothers who have travelled hundreds of kilometres to Harare just to come to the airport to say goodbye. Some are mothers and fathers who have sold a car or a house to pay for school fees and for a plane ticket and have come to bid farewell to a beloved son or daughter who is going to study in the UK or further afield- in Australia or the USA.
