With Joy I don’t cry

God’s love is wide like sea,

Once was blind but now i see.

With joy i kissed the blue sky,

But with joy never did i cry.

Whether i own all silver and gold,

Whether i meet my dead  friend of old,

Might i become a King under the sun

My tears of joy don’t sip for fun.

But when my heart is sturbed with words

Tears of anger flock out like birds.

Any words that are inflictious and sarcastic,

Leave my eyes in sorrowfull and pathetic.

Whether i’m promised wings to fly,

Ecstacy and bliss may lift me high

But as long i’m in this earth of sorrows

My tears of joy will never kiss my brows.

Its because food never healed hunger.

All joy is vanity beyond stood anger.

When my joy will forever endure

Tears down my cheek i will ensure

Lord’s will

Its me you hate i heard so.

Then me you killed not my soul’

With a sword my head you cut.

You left vultures chopping me but

I’m alive my spirit forever endures.

Its not over my spirit ensures.

Though i am buried my copse is over

But upon yourself my spirit hover.

It griefs me that you can’t escape,

Because my palms you stay and step,

But i loved you thats so strange,

Your offsprings suffers if revange.

So do mine since my life you did steal

So let be done thy lord’s will.

I escaped life through this profound tunnel
But before, i carried a man called Emmanuel.
He persuaded me with with his pleading voice,
“Beer is very good example of bad choice,
The lovers of it are all dead and engraved.
So repent in the lord and you will be saved.”

A blink then took me somewhere strange,
I could not see anything from close range.
The sky was dark and it never seen sun,
I could not breath the air was none.
Wounds were all over, blood was streaming,
I was in painless state like i was dreaming. Read more

Is God what we say he is?

To be called a Christian has become as common as to be called a football fan, and many Christians have ways of identifying themselves with Christianity as football fans with teams.  Some, have uniforms to identify with, mottos or slogans, leaders, rules and cultures. Most will tell you of “kuChechi kwedu kunoitwa so”, ways and dominions.

Many, if not all will differ fundamentally and these differences however narrow or stark perplex to raise the question, “is God whom we say  he is?”.  Perhaps, further questions that need enlightenment exist but the fundamental principles of Christianity need defination. Read more

Scores of people of various ages and hues braved Harare’s sweltering heat on Saturday, 8 November 2008, to join the celebrations to mark 200 years of the abolishment of slavery with a performance of Duke Ellington’s Sacred Concerts by the 50 strong Zimbabwe College of Music (ZCM) Choir and the Trio Arctic Band. The versatile and awe-inspiring Zimbabwean diva, Prudence Katomeni- Mbofana held the solo soprano reins.

The performance was a unique collaboration between the ZCM and their Norwegian counterparts courtesy of The Culture School of Fredrikstad as well as FK Norway. Each year three lecturers from ZCM go to Norway to guest lecture in an exchange programme that sees three Norwegian lecturers making the trek to Zimbabwe. This year’s trio, Tone Jordhus Søvik (saxaphone), Brith Løkken (trumpet) and Klæboe Eyvind Helseth were at the forefront of organising the concert. Linda Gjersoe Helseth (trombone) flew all the way from Norway to be part of this groundbreaking performance. Read more

Every individual, who has experienced life on planet Earth, has a personal history to relate about his or her journeying through life, whether they know it or not. In life there are numerous histories being made by people from all corners of the globe and from different cultures but no two journeys are the same.

To begin a life is to begin a historical journey and each life has its own individual story. In life there are numerous histories being made by people from all corners of the globe and from different cultures but no two journeys are the same. Everyone has life experiences that are uniquely different from everyone else. Even if two or three or more people have had the very same experience, they will each narrate it in a different way, because their perspectives differ from each other’s. Read more
