For Kirsty Coventry it is swimming. What will it be for you?

For Jonah Mungoshi it was his World Record longest-speech attempt and his Success Coaching.

For Mother Teresa it was her Missionary work in Calcutta.

For Viktor Frankl it was his courage under immense persecution and torment.

For Morgan Tsvangirai it is his leadership of the main opposition party in Zimbabwe at a time when many are paralysed by fear into inaction.

For Kirsty Coventry it’s her amazing backstroke in the pool.

Let your light shine

Hi there ZIMBABLOGGERS

The reason why a light is a light is so that it shines for the benefit of many. It’s been a while now that we have been in the dark and we have been selfishly keeping our light to ourselves. I urge all you Zmbabloggers to bring YOUR LIGHT OUT AND LET IT SHINE.

I am sure I sound like a  mother, or a shrink, or worse… a politician…. Hey I am an ordinary citizen who just wants the sunshine back in the sunshine city, the royalty back in the city of kings and the progress back into the city of progress!!! DO YOU CONCUR?

This is for Virtugirl and any other Zimbabwean who feels really put down by the economic and political enviroment we face. Don’t lose heart. Here’s an amazing excerpt from a book by Og Mandino called “The Greatest Salesman in The World”. It’s a small but immensely powerful piece of literature:

I am a lion and I refuse to talk, to walk, to sleep with the sheep. I will hear not those who weep and complain, for their disease is contagious. Let them join the sheep. The slaughterhouse of failure is not my destiny. Read more

What drives you? Dare to more than survive

September 2, 2008 · Posted in I was just thinking, Inspire & motivate · Comment

In life there are three groups of people, namely those who are just looking at surviving, those who want to be blessed and those who are seeking to be a blessing to others. The survivors have a shortage mentality. They see the world as a mean place where everything must be fought for. Those who seek to be blessed think of themselves and their families. For them life is about seeking comfort and personal progress. The third group is the liberated group. Those who seek to give to many through giving value. They serve others and are rewarded handsomely, usually beyond their wildest dreams and more that they could imagine. Which of these are you? What thoughts do you carry as you do your work?

Live life

I HOPE THIS INSPIRES YOU TO PRESS ON!!!I LIVE BY THIS MOTTO: “I DON’T WANT TO BE FORGOTTEN”.

In life don’t just pass by or allow the ones you leave when you die to ever say you PASSED AWAY. Live to create a hunger in someone that will inspire them. Kindle one dying fire in your lifetime so you can live forever in their thoughts and hearts . So tales of you can be told to countless generations EVENTUALLY when you die people you will leave behind will say YOU LIVED .
