The many sins of Jesus
‘Guilty as Sin’? That was Jesus. So guilty in fact that the all merciful God couldn’t stand the sight of him – and had to turn away.
Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin or [insert favorite dictator here] – All practically saints compared to Jesus. They had to be, if God’s plan was going to work. Jesus wasn’t going to succeed by taking on just the sin of the guy who steals stationery from the office. He came for the worst we had to offer.
The Satanic, murderous, child molesting, serial rapist…
That’s who he came for…and that’s what he had to become. But he didn’t come just so that you would forgiven of your sins. (That would’ve been amazing enough – but) God’s plan was even better.
See the real truth is that Jesus didn’t just take your punishment, he took your guilt – he became your sin - and that makes all the difference.
If he’s taken only your punishment, you’d still be guilty…with someone else having paid the consequences. But the truth is, thanks to Jesus,
You’re NOT guilty. You’ve done NOTHING wrong!
Your sense of guilt and self-condemnation are completely misplaced and misguided - but ONLY if you’re born again FOR SURE. Only if you’re really IN Christ. Don’t take my word for it - that’s what the Boss says…

Let it rain, may blessings come
A children’s playful rhyme has the following words, “mvura naya-naya tidye mupunga” which means , “let it rain so that we may have rice to eat”, and in my opinion it illustrates the vast importance of water in agriculture. At the onset of the rain season a frequent sight is of children holding hands and dancing round and round in a circle as they look up expectantly into the sky, singing this rhyme. In Zimbabwe the rice crop in grown in a muddy field - “mudoro”. Read more
How God arrested me
To say the truth, I was completely puzzled when God arrested me.
It had never come to my mind that God was all this time trailing me. You might be in the same situation today. You’ve got to keep in mind that God is trailing you and will not give up on you. But you need to come to a point of being attentive for you to hear and heed the call. If you become too busy about too many things you might miss that which is most important to you. I will walk you through my personal experience just to prove that there are several ways that God could get hold of straying people.
I graduated from the University of Zimbabwe in 1991 after obtaining a Bsc. Honours Degree in Economics. When I was still at college I thought that I would get a job soon after completing my studies. I became even more convinced about this when I passed well in the final examinations; I do not, however, mean that passing well was a new experience for me. Read more
I am not afraid
Today’s message is from Maria Woodworth-Etter.
He has shown me we are in the last days.
He has poured out his Spirit in all my meetings. Praise God, no matter how the Holy Ghost came, I knew the Lord was leading. How did I realize this? It is “Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord” (Zech. 4:6). Read more
Who are you?
Magnanimity is the quality of the person who knows himself or herself to be worthy of great honors. The person who overestimates self-worth is conceited, and the person who underestimates self-worth is pusillanimous. – Aristotle
The knowledge of oneself is the foundation of breakthrough and success. I believe that the lack of this knowledge is often the source of the greatest failure: success in the wrong assignment. It is therefore imperative that one diligently introspects and above all, finds out from the creator himself who one has been made to be. There is no manufacturer who comes up with a product without first contemplating what it will be used for. Likewise, there is no single person in existence who is just here for no specific reason. “Thine eyes did see mine unformed substance; And in thy book they were all written, Even the days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was none of them.” – Psalm 139:16 Read more
There are no Christians
My roommate at college was always praying. He prayed when he got up in the morning. He prayed when he came in at lunchtime. He woke up at 3am every other morning to go out to the fields to pray with some of his church mates. He would meet with these church mates at least twice a week in the evenings for prayer meetings or bible readings in the room.
But my roommate was filthy. If he bathed three times a week, that was a good week. If he did his laundry once a month I was lucky. His wardrobe resembled the scene of an atomic bombing. Dirty clothes were thrown in there in a not very pleasant mixture with exercise books, library books, shoes, newspapers, unfinished meals, Christian literature, and other paraphernalia. Read more
