How to do smileys in your comments

You may have seen some of the comments on the site display neat little smileys- like this: - and wondered how on earth do you can do that too. Wonder no more.

These shortcuts can be used on any website or blog that runs on Wordpress. Note that there needs to be a space before AND after the code for the smiley for it to work. These will also work in the main body of an article when you are posting to the blog.
